About EasyClean Aquatics

I’m Devon, founder of EasyClean Aquatics. I work hands‑on with both freshwater and saltwater aquariums—from small home systems to larger, more complex setups. My approach blends ethical care, behavioral observation, and evidence‑driven decision‑making to create stable, emotionally calm ecosystems.

I help you read what your tank is telling you. Whether it’s aggression, algae, plant decline, cloudy water, or unexplained stress, I break down the root causes and give you clear, practical steps that fit your specific system.

My work includes system design, freshwater livestock planning, aquascaping, plumbing, troubleshooting, and long‑term ecosystem management. For saltwater systems, I focus on stability, equipment, layout, and problem‑solving.

I also build custom solutions—plumbing layouts, filtration improvements, aquascape supports, and functional designs that make maintenance easier and safer for your animals.

The goal is simple: a tank that thrives, feels peaceful, and is actually enjoyable to live with.

Before & After

Real systems, real problems, real turnarounds. Below are examples of the transformations I help create.

A large fish tank with algae and plants inside, placed on a vintage cream-colored wooden cabinet. The tank appears dirty with condensation or algae buildup on the glass.

Before: A 36‑gallon bowfront left unattended long enough for algae and cyano to take over. The lone goldfish was practically invisible behind the buildup.

A rectangular fish tank with a black frame, filled with water and small multicolored pebbles on the bottom. Inside the tank, there are two orange fish, green aquatic plants, and decorative white stones. A white twisted sculpture is placed at the front left of the tank.

After: After a safe temporary move and a full restoration, the goldfish lit up — swimming boldly through a tank it could finally call home again. Seeing an animal go from hidden to thriving is the kind of transformation I bring to every client

An aquarium with a bright orange goldfish swimming near the bottom, with other fish visible in the water, and equipment like a filter and plants in the background. The word 'BEFORE' is written at the bottom of the image.

Before: This 40‑gallon breeder tank housing goldfish needed a full restore — algae, black beard algae, an undersized filter, and an overstocked setup had pushed the system past its limit. It was overdue for some real care.

An aquarium with several colorful fish, including orange, white, and black goldfish, and green aquatic plants inside. The tank is placed on a wooden surface near a window with plants on the windowsill.

After: Once the fish were safely moved and the tank stripped down, every piece of decor was cleaned, brushed, and peroxide‑treated before being replanted and rescape‑rebuilt. With the new Eheim 4+ Professional filter installed, the whole system finally had room to breathe. The goldfish responded instantly — brighter, more active, and clearly relieved to have a home that felt safe again. This tank has now been upgraded and is cycling in its new setup, which you can see below in the Install section.

Aquarium Upgrades & Professional Installations

I handle custom aquarium installations, pre‑fabricated system installs, and personalized setups designed to fit your home, your space, and your animals. Below are examples of completed installations, system upgrades, and long‑term service tanks I maintain for clients across the region.

Empty glass terrarium with a black frame on a wooden table, with a red and white terrarium below it, in a room with white walls and wood flooring.
Under sink plumbing with PVC pipes, a flexible water line, and a red tool holder underneath a wooden cabinet.

For this 90‑gallon saltwater tank, I installed a complete sump system using 1" PVC for the drains and 3/4" braided vinyl tubing tied into 3/4" PVC for the return line. The result is a smooth, efficient flow path and a clean, professional finish built for long‑term stability.

A fish tank containing colorful rocks, aquatic plants, a piece of driftwood, and a large fish near the bottom of the tank. The tank has a filtration system producing bubbles, and the background features a painted underwater scene.

This Oscar came to EasyClean Aquatics from a cramped 55‑gallon tank where she couldn’t even turn without brushing the glass. She was also battling HLLE (Hole‑in‑the‑Head disease), a condition linked to stress and poor water quality. After moving her into a properly sized 75‑gallon tank with live plants and stable water parameters, she recovered beautifully — swimming with confidence, exploring her space, and fully healing from HLLE. She finally has the room and comfort she always deserved.

Commercial & Residential

EasyClean Aquatics provides commercial aquarium care across the region. The two tanks shown above are part of a preschool’s display system — two of the ten tanks I maintain for them on a monthly basis to keep everything stable, clean, and thriving.

EasyClean Aquatics installed this 50‑gallon display tank inside a mall barbershop. The aquarium immediately became a customer magnet — increasing foot traffic and encouraging more walk‑ins who enjoy watching the fish during their haircut.
